Original Works & Fine Art Prints
Paintings inspired by Indian textiles, cherished objects, and fragments of memory into art.
Some memories fade. Some become art.
I paint the things people stop noticing — a closet, a locker, a shelf of old shoes — until the gold thread and the worn edge make you look again.
Every canvas begins with an object that has outlived its original purpose but not its meaning: a mother's wardrobe, a grandfather's papers, the fabric folded away for occasions that never quite come. I paint them the way you'd want to remember them — slowly, in close detail, with the gold and colour left in.
My work draws on Indian textiles, embroidery, and the quiet craftsmanship that runs through everyday households. I'm not trying to document nostalgia so much as protect it — to give a closet or a locker the same attention a portrait would get, because that's often where the real portrait of a family is.
If a piece here holds something familiar for you too, I'd love to talk about bringing it into your home.
